Recruiting is next: Metaview raises US$60 million Series C to put AI agents at the centre of hiring
Vertex Holdings05 Oct 2026Vertex Ventures US portfolio company Metaview is bringing autonomous agents to every stage of hiring.
Recruiting is an US$800 billion industry that still relies largely on manual processes, fragmented tools and human guesswork. AI has added pressure to that system. It has made applying for jobs trivially easy, and the volume of applications per recruiter has risen by 412%, according to Greenhouse benchmarks. Meanwhile, 53% of job seekers reported being ghosted by an employer in the past year. Hiring teams are overwhelmed, and candidates are left waiting.
Metaview, the Agentic Recruiting Platform, was built to address both sides of that problem. Founded in 2018 by former Uber and Palantir leaders Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, the company began by capturing the conversations where hiring decisions take shape. More than 6 million interviews later, that shared context powers connected AI agents across the hiring process. They source candidates before they apply, review inbound applications against the role brief, conduct structured screening conversations and turn human interviews into clear, usable notes. People set the criteria and make every final decision.
"The best engineering teams have already moved from writing code by hand to orchestrating AI agents that do the work. Recruiting is next," said Siadhal Magos, CEO and co-founder of Metaview. "We're rebuilding hiring with AI at the core to make it radically more efficient and precise, while creating a better system for everyone involved."
The shift reflects a broader move from AI assistants to AI coworkers. Early recruiting tools helped with note-taking and drafting emails. Metaview's autonomous coworker, fillmore, is designed to own the top of the funnel, from sourcing candidates to booking qualified screening calls. The company strengthened that capability in August with the acquisition of AI-native recruiting startup Reval. More than 7,000 companies now use Metaview, including Deel, Affirm, Navan and Replit, with time-to-hire reduced by more than 75% in some cases.
Vertex's perspective
Vertex Ventures US led Metaview's seed round in December 2021 and has continued to back the company as it has grown from interview note-taking into agentic recruiting. The next phase is about scale and trust. As application volumes continue to rise, platforms that combine automation with human judgement are well placed to shape how hiring is done, and Vertex Ventures US looks forward to supporting Metaview as it builds towards that.
Looking Ahead
The US$60 million Series C brings Metaview's total funding to US$110 million. It will bring fillmore to general availability alongside new specialist agents, and grow the team from 80 to 250 people by the end of next year, with a New York office joining its hubs in London and San Francisco. Metaview is also expanding 10x Recruiting, its community and training programme for talent professionals building AI-powered hiring systems, a discipline the company calls talent engineering.
